Flexicon Corp. has introduced a new bulk bag lifting frame with telescoping arms that the firm said accommodates bulk bags produced in an increasing range of sizes.

The lifting frame is optional on all BFC models of Flexicon's Bulk-out discharger line and is available for up to 2.2 ton capacities to replace conventional lifting frames of any make or model of discharger that employs a hoist to position and suspend bulk bags, the company claimed.

The telescoping arms can be adjusted using clevis pins and safety clips to a range of settings to accommodate bulk bags from 32 to 47 inches square at the upper sew seam, Flexicon said, allowing the lifting frame to work safely with rectangular bags.

Flexicon said the unit is available in carbon steel with durable industrial coatings or stainless steel to industrial or sanitary standards, and the adjustable frames are equipped as standard with Flexicon's z-clip strap channels that hold the straps while allowing rapid insertion and removal.

Other dischargers offered by the company include BFF models with a lifting frame for forklift loading

Mahr Federal Inc., a member of the Mahr Group, has introduced the Multimar 25 EWR digital universal caliper for inside diameter and outside diameter measurement requirements.

The instrument is available in four capacities with outside measuring ranges up to 1250 mm, Mahr said, claiming it is ideal for measuring outside and inside dimensions, narrow collars, external and internal tapers, dovetails, grooves, distances between hole centers, for centering shoulders and scribing work pieces.

Unlike standard calipers, both measuring arms of the 25 EWR can be moved along the beam, Mahr said, thus functioning like a beam-gage, and providing well-balanced weight distribution even with small dimensions. The application range can be extended by reversing the interchangeable measuring arms. The digital display is in the operator‘s line of vision due to the mounting fixture of the measuring arms and attachments provided, the company said.

With its broad range of measurement accessories, the new Multimar 25 EWR Digital Universal Caliper from Mahr Federal is a versatile and configurable caliper for inside diameter and outside diameter measuring requirements.

Mahr said Multimar 25 EWR offers a wide range of measuring arms, anvils, mounting attachments and depth stops, which can be configured by the user. Anvils and tips are available in different shapes and configurations, including threads, flat and spherical shoulders, blades and round faces, according to the firm. Depth stops can be set to the exact measuring depth in the horizontal measurement position to provide precise support on the reference plane surface, Mahr claimed, improving repetitive accuracy when conducting comparison measurements in the second axis.

Mahr said data output is wireless, and battery life is about three years. The unit comes with a battery, instruction manual, hardwood mounting and resting blocks, and a wooden case.

The TPE feed mat can be used at home or can fold for on-the-go. According to PolymaxTPE, the flexible food-safe TPE elastomer offers a nonslip and flip-resistant design, preventing sliding and food spillage.

This new 78 shore A TPE can be colored and molded into complex shapes with good surface finish, the company said. The material is recyclable, top rack dishwasher safe, free of PVC, metal, latex and phthalates, said PolmaxTPE.
