CHAPEL HILL, N.C.—Armacell L.L.C. has launched a blog designed to provide educational resources for those making, using or installing products made with expanded foam materials.
The elastomeric and polyolefin foams manufacturer said it intends to reach a broad audience with the blog, including engineers, contractors, foam fabricators and original equipment manufacturers.
“Armacell makes foam for so many uses that we wanted a venue for all our customers to learn more about the materials, their uses or best practices,” Joanna Beckman, Armacell's marketing communications manager-Americas, said in a written statement regarding the blog. “Our goal is to bring short, informative blog posts to our audience who specifies and uses expanded foams for insulation, acoustics, gaskets and seals, or for applications like sports fields and padding.”
Blog posts target a number of trades including construction, transportation, sports and leisure, and automotive, while providing relevant information on the use of foam products across those industries. Typical blog posts will be written by Armacell's in-house experts and likely could include case studies, technical specification explanations, best practices and suggested applications, the company said.
Occasionally, other industry experts will provide a perspective through guest blog posts.
The Armacell blog debuted June 21 and can be found at www.armacell.us/blog.
