HOUSTON—Arlanxeo USA L.L.C., a 50/50 joint venture between Lanxess A.G. and Saudi Aramco for synthetic rubber, has been elected to the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers Inc.
“We are extremely happy to announce the membership Arlanxeo USA as our newest producer member,” Juan Ramon Salinas, managing director and CEO of the IISRP, said in a news release.
Arlanxeo USA is headquartered in Pittsburgh. Michael I. Assaf will serve as their director to the IISRP and John Sawaya as his alternate.
Arlanxeo's plant in Orange, Texas, produces polybutadiene rubber, ethylene propylene diene rubber and hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber.
The IISRP is an international not-for-profit trade association with more than 60 corporate members, in 22 countries, who produce 80 percent of the world's supply of synthetic rubber. Incorporated in 1960 and headquartered in Houston, the Institute supports section offices in Milan, Tokyo and Beijing.
