BRUSSELS—Cornelia Tietz has been appointed as director for environment, health and safety and climate action at the European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturers' Association.
Her key areas of work will be energy, climate change, health and safety and the environment, a July 11 ETRMA announcement noted.
Tietz is filling a new function created within ETRMA to respond to the increasing demand on the environmental front, including the Emissions Trading Scheme and other regulations coming from mainly EU institutions.
Prior to joining ETRMA, Tietz served at ReachCentrum for seven years and at Cefic for four years. In these roles, she was in charge of analyzing regulatory developments in the chemicals industry.
“Cornelia brings with her solid chemicals and managements skills to support in an effective way the team at ETRMA” said Fazilet Cinaralp, secretary general of the organization.
