Employees at Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technology's Tillsonburg facility pose for a photo with facility's Supplier Gold status award.

TILLSONBURG, Ontario—Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technology's Tillsonburg facility has been awarded United Technologies Corp.'s Supplier Gold status for its work in delivery, quality, lean practices and customer support.

The plant supplies aerodynamic seals to UTC's Pratt and Whitney operations in Canada. The firm said it is the only seal supplier to earn the UTC honor six years in a row.

Freudenberg said Supplier Gold status is the highest level of supplier achievement used by UTC. It is awarded to businesses that meet five requirements—excellent customer service, on-time product delivery, best-in-class quality, cost and use of lean practices throughout operations.

“We are extremely happy that our Tillsonburg facility has consistently met and exceeded customer expectations in the highly demanding aerospace industry,” Sean Morgan, global segment director, aerospace, for Freudenberg-NOK said in a statement. “We thank UTC for recognizing Tillsonburg as one of the best and most efficient plants in the aerospace industry.”

Freudenberg-NOK is an Americas joint venture between Germany-based Freudenberg and Japan-based NOK Corp. Headquartered in Plymouth, Mich., Freudenberg-NOK operates more than 20 facilities across the Americas.
