HAMBURG, Germany—The Biesterfeld group has set up its dedicated performance rubber business, with Biesterfeld Performance Rubber GmbH starting operations July 1.
The new business division combines all activities for the rubber processing industry and aims to “further develop the rubber business strategically,” the company announced on June 20.
Sascha Hennig and Peter Wilkes will assume management of this business division, which represents a sales volume of around $55.2 million per year.
Peter Wilkes will continue to serve as managing director of Biesterfeld Spezialchemie GmbH.
“We offer a global distribution network for rubber compounds to our customers and suppliers,” Hennig said.
The focus, according to Wilkes, will be on the distribution of synthetic rubber compounds, high-quality silicone and fluorosilicone rubbers, carbon black and additives.
“The current rubber portfolio will be complemented by high performance polymers and additives,” he added.
Biesterfeld Performance Rubber will be active in Europe, Latin America and North Africa.
