FALLS CHURCH, Va.—The Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau is asking its members to answer questions on a survey created by the Rochester Institute of Techology Center for Remanufacturing and Resource Recovery.
The bureau called the survey “a new opportunity for you to help influence the future of the entire remanufacturing industry, including retreading.”
Funded by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology, the Rochester Institute of Technology is developing a strategic remanufacturing industry road map, according to the Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau. The Rochester Institute will identify challenges facing retreading and other remanufacturing companies today and lay out recommendation for research and policies that will address those challenges across all sectors, the bureau said.
“A contribution of experiences from all sectors and company sizes is vital to establishing a road map that will benefit all,” a Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau press release.
The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and, in return for completing it, the Rochester Institute will send all participants its comprehensive report summarizing the survey and highlighting the status of both remanufacturing in general and retreading in particular, the bureau said.
