ANAHEIM, Calif.—Greenball Corp. has introduced a specialty trailer tire “designed to meet the ever-increasing demands of commercial and recreational towing.”

The new Tow-Master ASC is an ultra-premium trailer tire that Greenball said was designed to hold up to heavier loads and faster highway speeds as tow vehicle capabilities continue to increase. Its heavy-duty construction “promises to provide a stable and reliable ride for trailer owners,” according to the Anaheim-based tire distributor.

“Most traditional trailer tires were not built for modern highway speeds,” Greenball Senior Vice President Randy Tsai said. “On top of that, many of today's trailers are bigger and heavier than before.

“The new Tow-Master ASC was built specifically to address both of those factors.”

The 14-ply rated tire—available in size ST235/85R16—is built with a two-ply steel belt carcass and three-ply steel belt overlay. Greenball said the improved durability makes it suitable for a wide range of trailers, while the tire's advanced tread compound and highway tread design offer stability and longevity at highway speeds.

The company—which uses multiple, mostly off-shore manufacturers—did not specify which company is building the tire or where.

Additional sizes are in production and will be available later in 2016, the company said. More information is available on Greenball's website.
