OSAKA, Japan—Citing personal matters as the reason behind his leaving, Toyo Tire and Rubber Co.'s Chairman and Representative Director Katsumi Komaguchi resigned, effective immediately, on May 27.
Komaguchi, joined Toyo in November, replacing Akira Nobuki, who resigned in the wake of a scandal involving non-compliant earthquake-proof rubber bearings sold in Japan. Prior to that, Komaguchi served as a representative director and deputy chairman for Kyocera Document Solutions Inc.
