AKRON—Goodyear has named Amy Alexy vice president, Global Talent, effective immediately.
Alexy previously served as director, Global Talent and Organizational Capability. In her new role, Goodyear said she will lead a combined organization that includes the company's global talent acquisition and talent and organizational capability groups.
“At Goodyear, talent is what enables us to deliver sustainable revenue and profit growth while increasing the value of our brand,” John Lucas, senior vice president and chief human resources officer, said in a news release.
“How we recruit, develop, motivate and retain top talent determines our future success. Connecting all of our talent functions under Amy's leadership will help Goodyear maximize the contributions and growth of all associates, both external hires and those we promote internally,” he added.
Before joining Goodyear in 2011, Alexy led a combined global talent acquisition/talent management team at Diebold Inc. She also held several human resources and business development positions at Timken Co. She received her B.A. in communications from Walsh University and received a Master of Business Administration from Kent State University.
