MIDLAND, Mich.—Dow Corning has named Andrew Tometich as the business president of Dow Corning's silicones business, effective immediately after the completion of Dow Chemical Co.'s takeover. The acquisition is expected to finalized on June 1.
Tometich will focus on a smooth transition and integration period with Dow, a Dow Corning announcement said. He will report to Mauro Gregorio, incoming chief executive officer of Dow Corning.
Tometich has worked with Dow Corning for the past 27 years and held a number of commercial and executive positions, most recently serving as Dow Corning's senior vice president of silicones since 2014. Prior to that, he served as president and chairman of the Hemlock Semiconductor Group.
Tometich holds a bachelor of science from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
