ACCRA, Ghana—Ghana Oil Palm Development Co. is planning to build a rubber processing plant in the country's eastern region of Kwaebib, the company has announced.
According to News Ghana, GODPC is planning to complete the construction of the plant by 2020, with its production capacity set for 15,000 tons of crumb rubber per year.
The report also added that GOPDC has also advised the local farmers to replace their old citrus farms with rubber trees if they sought a reliable income for the next 30 years.
