SCHENECTADY, N.Y.—SI Group ranked in the top 13 percent for global supply chain sustainability among more than 25,000 companies assessed worldwide by EcoVadis, earning a Silver Award for its efforts.
SI Group said EcoVadis' Corporate Social Responsibility scorecards rate suppliers' environmental, ethical and social practices across 150 purchasing categories and 110 countries. The categories are grouped into four themes—environment, fair labor practices, ethics and fair business practices, and supply chain.
“Operating a sustainable and socially responsible organization is a long-term commitment,” Frank Bozich, SI Group president and CEO, said in a statement. “Our collaboration with EcoVadis represents a vital component to our broader global sustainability efforts. We're honored to have received this rating, as this achievement both recognizes the investments we have made in systems that support our sustainability efforts and also establishes a new baseline from which we will continue.”
