UNIONTOWN, Ohio—ChemSpec Ltd. is distributing German-based HPF's high performance mineral fillers into the American Midwest and Southeast for rubber compounding.
HPF, a division of Quarzwerke Group, operates mineral production facilities across Central and Eastern Europe that are used in rubber production, coatings, plastics and pharmaceuticals. The firm's minerals designed for use in rubber compounding include wollastonite, kaolin, mica and silica flour among others.
ChemSpec is a member company of Safic-Alcan, a Paris-based specialty chemicals distributor, and operates out of Uniontown. The firm focuses on the elastomer, adhesive and sealant, coating, plastic, and cosmetic manufacturing industries in North America.
