BETHESDA, Md.—April 1 is the registration deadline for the Auto Care Association's trade mission to Peru, scheduled for Lima May 17-19.
The ACA's trade missions to Central and South America are part of the Market Development Cooperator Program award that the association received from the U.S. Department of Commerce.
“Trade missions are a cost-effective opportunity to gain first-hand market intelligence and open doors for U.S. companies seeking to enter and expand their presence in these growing markets,” said Bill Hanvey, ACA president and CEO.
Trade mission packages start at $3,500 and include personalized business-to-business matchmaking meetings with foreign industry executives, pre-screened to match companies' specific business objectives, the ACA said.
The packages also include hotel accommodations, local transportation, networking receptions, interpreters and market overview briefings, the association said.
Participation is limited to companies seeking to export goods or services produced in the U.S., or goods or services that have at least 51 percent U.S. content, the ACA said. Participants who fulfill certain reporting requirements may qualify for a $1,500 reimbursement of trade mission costs, it said.
After the mission to Peru, the ACA has scheduled a mission to Guatemala June 21-22, with an optional stop in El Salvador June 23-24. Packages for this trip start at $2,500, and May 5 is the registration deadline.
