WALDKRAIBURG, Germany—Kraiburg has expanded its materials product portfolio to include perfluorelastomer (FFKM) based compounds, the company said on March 17.
The addition will help the company meet increased customer requirements for materials offering high levels of chemical resistance and thermal stability.
Target application areas include high-performance FFKM products such as seals and membranes used in the chemical-manufacturing, mechanical engineering and aerospace sectors.
The stringent requirements of these applications make robust seal solutions an absolute must, according to Kraiburg's announcement.
Perfluorelastomer compounds, it noted, can be used at continuous temperatures of more than 300°C, while their compression set at temperatures far above 200°C expands the spectrum for demanding seal applications.
