AVON LAKE, Ohio—PolyOne Corp. said in a regulatory filing that Michael E. Kahler, its senior vice president and chief commercial officer, notified the company that he intends to retire effective April 18.
Michael Garratt, currently senior vice president and president of performance products and solutions at the specialty polymers company, has been named to succeed Kahler as chief commercial officer upon Kahler's retirement.
Kahler spent 23 years with Nalco Chemical Co. and eventually joined Alfa Laval Inc. in 2004 as president of the Process Technology division.
In connection with Kahler's retirement, PolyOne said in the filing that the Compensation Committee of the company's board of directors “approved vesting upon retirement of all of Kahler's outstanding long-term incentive awards.” The committee “did not make any other material modifications to the terms and conditions of Kahler's outstanding long-term incentive grants,” PolyOne said.
