TIAC website expands, adds interactive map

WASHINGTON—The Transportation Investment Advocacy Center has unveiled a redesigned website with expanded features, according to the American Road & Transportation Builders Association.

Launched March 7, the redesigned website includes an interactive map of the U.S. featuring the latest state news and information on transportation funding issues, ARTBA said.

ARTBA launched TIAC in 2014 as an online education program aimed at helping private citizens, elected officials, organizations and businesses to promote transportation infrastructure resources at state and local levels through legislation and ballot initiatives, the association said.

The website offers visitors access to more than three dozen reports and 50 case studies on state and local transportation funding initiatives, according to ARTBA.

It also provides free email subscription access to TranspoAdvocate News, which provides updates several times a week, as well as a digital library of webinars and presentations made at the National Workshop for State and Local Transportation Advocates in 2014 and 2015.

The website also contains a portal for visitors to join the Transportation Investment Advocates Council, a national network of state and local organizations, business professionals and public officials who share a common interest in building support for transportation infrastructure investment in their communities.

The 3rd annual National Workshop for State and Local Transportation Advocates is scheduled for Washington July 13.
