TOKYO—Yokohama Rubber Co. has launched a number of tire, including the latest addition to its flagship Advan tire brand, the Advan Fleva V701.
The sport tire will be available in July in 24 sizes, with 43 sizes ranging from 195/55R15 85V to 255/30R20 92W, which will be available in early 2017.
Advan Fleva V701 reinforces the Advan product line with a new concept focused on increasing drivers' control of the car, Yokohama said.
The new high-performance tire, it added, has sporty handling and has achieved an European Union A grade for safety performance and wet grip up.
Yokohama said as of July, it will begin marketing a new street-legal sport tire developed for use in circuit events, the “Advan A052.” It will come in 16 sizes, ranging from 16 inches to 18 inches.
The new version, said Yokohama, has high cornering and stable handling as well as good grip performance in wet and dry conditions.
“The tread design is developed from the tarmac rally tire “Advan A051T,” which has been using at many rallies in Europe,” the Japanese tire maker added.
Another launch that was announced by Yokohama was that of the new addition to its series of Geolandar brand tires for SUVs.
The new “Geolandar A/T G015” will be available in sizes ranging from 15 inches to 20 inches in July.
In the upgraded version, an “optimized tread pattern and new compound” have been employed to increase the tire's wear performance and traction performance on wet and snow-covered roads.
The tire has the European three-peaks snowflake symbol, and its LT size is designed for use in the harsh off-road conditions.
Yokohama said the tire has very high cut and chip resistance.
