Sartomer Americas names Klang director of R&D

EXTON, Pa.—Sartomer Americas, a business unit of Arkema Inc., has named Jeffrey Klang director of research and development.

Klang will lead research and development programs to support growth of high value applications and technologies within Sartomer's key end-use markets, the firm said.

Klang brings extensive experience in product management and research and development, including three previous roles with Sartomer. Prior to his time with the firm, he held a variety of research and development roles at Arco Chemical.

Finite Fiber appoints Terry to sales, marketing post

AKRON—Finite Fiber has appointed Doug Terry as its sales and marketing manager and in a joint move, named Todd Johnson to the post of vice president of technology.

Johnson was previously vice president of sales.

The firm said Terry is a 30-year veteran of the rubber and plastics industry serving in various roles, including divisional general manager, directing research and development, new divisional startup, and direct and distributor sales management.

He most recently served as director of technology for the Polymers Additive Group of Metals and Additives Corp. in Indianapolis. He will be responsible for all facets of Finite Fiber's sales and marketing.

Green Rubber promotes Gulick to sales manager

SALINAS, Calif.—Green Rubber-Ken-nedy Ag has promoted Steve Gulick to sales manager.

The firm said Gulick has spent 20 years with Green Rubber and brings significant experience in outside and inside sales. He previously held the position of purchasing manager, which the company said he will be transitioning out of.

NuSil names Kummeth to board of directors

CARPINTERIA, Calif.—Silicone producer NuSil Technology L.L.C. has appointed Charles Kummeth to its board of directors.

Kummeth is the CEO and president of Bio-Techne, a global life sciences company providing bioactive tools and resources for the research and clinical diagnostic communities.

Prior to Bio-Techne, Kummeth served as president of Mass Spectrometry and Chromatography at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., also serving as president of the Laboratory Consumables Division. Prior to that, he spent 24 years at 3M Corp., most recently as vice president of its Medical Division.

Rasey to lead Conti's OTR business development unit

HANOVER, Germany—Continental A.G. has hired former Bridgestone Americas, Yokohama Tire Corp. and BKT Americas executive T. Shawn Rasey to be the global business development manager of earthmover tires.

Rasey brings more than 36 years' tire industry experience to his job with Continental, including two years with BKT Americas, seven years with Bridgestone Americas and two with Yokohama.

Continental said Rasey also brings an extensive background in the earthmover tire business ranging from sales, marketing, key account management, product planning, manufacturing and strategy.

Lauren International names chief operating officer

NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio—Lauren International Ltd. has named Mike Hovan as its new chief operating officer, effective March 7.

The firm said he brings 30 years of experience and has held numerous leadership positions within Lauren and other high-profile companies. He joined the company in 1993 as mixing plant manager, eventually serving as president of Lauren Manufacturing, president of Edgetech and vice president of Lauren International.

Hovan served as a board member of Lauren International until the firm sold Edgetech to Quanex in 2011, the firm said. He became senior vice president of sales and marketing for all of Quanex, and in 2014 he was promoted to president and general manager of Mikron Industries Inc., Quanex's largest business division.
