NEW YORK—Arsenal Capital Partners' Polymer Solutions Group has acquired Flow Polymers L.L.C., a global producer of specialty additives and dispersions, from Geneva Glen Capital.
Financial details were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Cleveland, Flow Polymers is a manufacturer of proprietary and custom chemical dispersions, process aids and homogenizing agents for the tire, automotive, industrial, wire and cable and plastics markets.
Polymer Solutions was formed by Arsenal in June 2015 when it purchased specialty polymers and performance chemicals maker Peach State Labs Inc. and the acquisition of Flow Polymers is its first addition.
Mike Ivany, president and CEO of Flow Polymers, will serve as president and CEO of Polymer Solutions Group. He is a 30-year veteran of the chemical industry.
“Flow Polymers builds on our strategy to create a diversified leader of high value niche solutions serving customers in the polymers and plastics end markets,” said Sal Gagliardo, an operating partner of Arsenal's Specialty Industrials Group.
He said Flow Polymers has a strong presence in automotive and industrial applications while Peach State Labs “provides a number of unique technologies to the construction and lubricants market.”
