NOKIA, Finland—Nokian Tyres has announced that it will change its operational structure and responsibilities of the management team in order to “strengthen the company's further expansion.”

Alexej von Bagh will take over responsibility for global process development at Nokian Tyres as of April 1, the firm said in a Jan. 20 news release. Von Bagh will be responsible for the overall process architecture and process development.

The company's aim, said Nokian, is to improve the mode of operations and overall business practices.

“Alexej has been a strong driver in the success of Vianor [Nokian's distribution arm]… He will take the planning and execution of the whole company's process architecture to the top level”, says Ari Lehtoranta, president and CEO of Nokian Tyres.

Anna Hyvonen will also take charge at Vianor and partner distribution.

This responsibility includes the development of partner distribution strategy, expansion of the partner network and management of the equity-owned Vianor chain.

Also, Andrei Pantioukhov has been appointed executive vice president for Nokian. He will also continue in his present role as the general manager for Nokian Tyres Russia.

Head of research and development Juha Pirhonen has also been appointed to management team.
