The 3 millionth steel-radial truck tire produced at Nizhnekamskshina's 4-year-old plant in Russia.

NIZHNEKAMSK, Russia—Russian tire maker Nizhnekamskshina S.S.C. recently passed a production milestone—3 million all-steel radial truck tires since the plant opened in 2011—while disclosing the plant has reached its monthly capacity target of 100,000 units.

Nizhnekamsk, a business unit of Russian oil conglomerate Tatneft Group, maintains a commercial tire product portfolio 66 SKUs, including 23 produced under an offtake agreement for Continental A.G., which also supplies the plant with technical support.

Nizhnekamskshina put the plant into production in 2011 after a $575 million investment.

The company also noted it has secured original equipment supply contracts with Russian commercial vehicle makers KAMAZ, NefAZ and TONAR.

Tatneft also disclosed the factory recently was recertified under the ISO 14001:20014 international environmental quality standard. The certification was issued by OOO Test-St-Petersburg Co. Ltd. for three years.
