ORANGE PARK, Fla.—Bridgestone HosePower, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Bridgestone Corp., is expanding its presence on the West Coast by acquiring Hose Pros, a hydraulic hose sales and service company in San Diego.
“We are proud to add such a reputable and successful company to our business,” J. Palmer Clarkson, CEO and president of Bridgestone HosePower, said in a statement. “This acquisition allows Bridgestone HosePower to further broaden our footprint in the Southern California region with world-class hose products and service.”
The Hose Pros, which was founded in 1986, covers the San Diego and Los Angeles markets, as well as the greater Orange County area with eight mobile service trucks and 14 employees.
With the acquisition, Bridgestone HosePower now has 38 branch locations in the U.S. and one location in Mexico. Bridgestone HosePower serves the hydraulic and industrial hose industry, focusing on products in the original equipment, oil and gas, construction, mining and agricultural sectors. Bridgestone HosePower said the acquisition helps it advance its product offerings, including its private band Flextral product line, in a strong hose market.
Bridgestone HosePower said Darren McWilliams will remain as branch manager of the location. All Hose Pros employees have been offered and accepted positions with Bridgestone HosePower.
“We know we could not have chosen a better company to partner with than Bridgestone HosePower,” Frank and Maureen McWilliams, former owners of Hose Pros, said in a statement. “We are quite confident that both our customers and our employees will be well taken care of as we have strived to do over nearly 30 years. We wish them, and our son Darren continued success in growing the hose and fitting business in Southern California.”
