MACEDONIA, Ohio—TPC Wire & Cable Corp. of Macedonia said it has acquired Enersave Wire & Cable of Mexico City.
TPC makes high performance wire, cable and connectors for industries ranging from steel, automotive and oil and gas, and the acquisition aligns with the company's strategy of expanding assembly services and product services into Mexico.
Enersave distributes wire and cable for industries including oil and gas and automotive in Mexico, said TPC senior marketing manager Michelle T. Willmott in an email.
The company said in a news release that the acquisition will help TPC's growth in Mexico and Latin America by adding direct sales, distribution and cable assembly in the area.
This is TPC's first add-on acquisition under the ownership of Audax Private Equity, which bought TPC in May. Willmott said TPC is not disclosing the price of the acquisition. Enersave's leadership team, Raul Ortega Sr. and Raul Ortega Jr., will remain with the company.
