WINDSBACH, Germany—Helukabel GmbH held a groundbreaking ceremony in September for the construction of a $22.4 million expansion at its manufacturing plant in Windsbach.
The firm said the addition is to be complete in the fall of 2016 and will add 96,875 square feet of additional production, laboratory and office space. Helukabel said it will combine its global research and development capabilities with its test and inspection facilities in the new technology center.
“We have been manufacturing here since 1988,” CEO Helmut Luksch said in a statement. “Thanks to the largest ever investment in this facility to date, we are confident that we can meet future market demand.”
Based in Germany, Helukabel is an international manufacturer of wires and cables with 24 locations worldwide.
