STOW, Ohio—Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels has inked a deal with Roush Performance Products Inc. to fit Mickey Thompson Baja ATZP3 all-terrain tires and co-branded Roush-M/T Metal Series wheels original equipment on the 2015 Roush F-150.
Roush's modified Ford F-150 includes a host of updated body components and graphics, including a Roush side-exit exhaust system, a Fox 2.0 Performance Series suspension system and molded front and rear floor liner by WeatherTech, among other features. The vehicle also includes a three-year/36,000-mile warranty.
“Like Mickey Thompson, the Roush brand has always been synonymous with aggressive performance,” said Ken Warner, vice president of marketing for Mickey Thompson.
“Teaming up with Roush to design the new 20-inch co-branded Roush-M/T Metal Series wheels, then wrapping them with our popular Baja ATZP3's for this impressive F-150 has been fantastic.”
Plymouth Township, Mich.-based Roush Performance is a specialty-vehicle company that specializes in combining race-proven technologies with advanced automotive engineering.
According to Max-Trac Inc.—which does business as Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels —the specially designed Baja ATZP3 combines the company's T4 chip-resistant tread compound with PowerPly sidewall construction, beefy tread blocks and an extra-wide footprint to create a tire that delivers off-road performance and a smooth ride on the street. The F-150 is fitted with the tire in size LT305/55R20.
The unique wheels feature for the vehicle feature an eight-spoke, matte black design with a milled lip and branded pop-top center cap, Mickey Thompson added.
