CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.—Hankook Tire Manufacturing Tennesse L.P. will host a job fair Oct. 6-7 in Clarksville for those interested in employment at the firm's Clarksville tire plant, scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2016.
Hankook intends to hire about 1,000 employees for the plant over the coming 16 months, according to ClarksvilleNow.com.
Workforce Essentials Inc., a Clarksville non-profit job training and placement assistance enterprise, is handling the event, to be held at Wilma Rudolph Event Center, 1190 Cumberland Drive in Clarksville. The firm will be hiring initially for engineering and administration positions.
Registration is required; interested parties can register at the company's site.
Four one-hour sessions will be offered at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Oct. 6 and 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Oct. 7, Workforce Essentials said.
Applicants can view current job postings and apply through jobs4tn.gov.
The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development's mobile Career Coach unit will be on site both days to assist job seekers.
