SANTA ANA, Calif.—Yokohama Tire Corp. is once again an official sponsor of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, an annual gathering of classic car owners scheduled for Aug. 16-17 at the Pebble Beach Golf Links.
“It's 11 years and counting with the Pebble Beach Concours,” said Alan Holtschneider, Yokohama's director of marketing.
“Our ongoing partnership with the premier car event in the world has been nothing short of amazing. We've used the Pebble Beach Concours to promote our flagship Advan tire brand since 2005 and it's definitely been an excellent venue.”
First conducted in 1950, the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is said to be the world's premier celebration of the automobile. The event regularly attracts some of the world's rarest classic automobiles, which are on display along the Pebble Beach Golf Links' 18th fairway.
The organizers said the annual Concours and related events have raised more than $16 million for charity.
Yokohama's open-air booth, which is located adjacent to the first tee and near the main entrance, will spotlight three of the company's ultra high-performance Advan tires: the all-season Advan Sport A/S, Advan Sport V105 and Advan Neova AD08R. Additionally, the new Geolandar G055 crossover all-season tire also will be on display.
The tire maker will be hosting various activities at its booth, which will be open to attendees Aug. 16-17 during the event.
Yokohama's sponsorship agreement also includes brand name placement on every ticket, ad placement in the event program and participation in a number of Concours-related events and activities. Yokohama said attendees will be given Yokohama and Pebble Beach Concours co-branded lanyards.
