SAN LUIS POTOSI, Mexico—Goodyear Mexico has posted a video animation of its $500 million-plus car and light truck tire plant on its Facebook page.
Goodyear officials held a ceremonial ground-breaking July 28 at the plant's site in the World Trade Center Industrial complex—a business/industrial park south of San Luis Potosi.
The video shows a schematic of the plant in a virtual flyover and shows some artist's renderings of what the plant will look like. See the video here.
The factory, Akron-based Goodyear's first since closing a plant in 2001, will be engineered with an annual capacity of 6 million units. It is expected on stream in 2017.
