AKRON—Today is the deadline to register and receive an early-bird discount for the International Latex Conference, to be held Aug. 11-12 at the Hilton Inn in Fairlawn, Ohio.
The cost to attend is $425 for manufacturers, and $800 for suppliers, an early-bird savings of $100.
The event, organized by Rubber & Plastics News and Akron Dispersions, will explore new applications, changing market dynamics and industry trends.
All paid attendees receive a year subscription to Rubber & Plastics News.
Among the presentations to be offered are “Extraction of Latex and Natural Rubber from Annual Plants,” by Anvar Buranov of Nova-BioRubber Green Technologies Inc.; “Enhancing the Biodegradation of Waste Rubber,” by Teresa Clark of Enso Corp.; “Peroxide Crosslinking of Elastomers,” by Peter Dluzneski, Ph.D., Arkema Inc.; and “Advancement of Latex Usage in Asphalt Emulsion Pavement Preservation,” by Arlis Kadrmas, BASF Corp.
There will be an opening night networking reception, sponsored by Tiarco Chemical, as well as a casino night, hosted by Akron Dispersions.
