SANTA ANA, Calif.—Yokohama Tire Corp. has hired Tom Kenny as director of technical service.
He succeeds Dan Guiney who retired after 43 years in the tire business, including 13 with Yokohama.
Kenny most recently worked for Hankook Tire Corp., where he was vice president of R&D. He previously worked for Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. and Continental Tire the Americas L.L.C.
Guiney held leadership assignments in all aspects of YTC customer technical support, according to the Santa Ana-based company. He also served as chairman of the Rubber Manufacturers Association's Tire Policy Committee and represented Yokohama on the Tire and Rim Association Inc. board of trustees and the Tire Society. These responsibilities will be passed on to Kenny, YTC said.
YTC is the North American manufacturing and marketing arm of Tokyo-based Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd., a global manufacturing and sales company of premium tires.
