WASHINGTON—The Commerce Department's International Trade Administration has rescinded the administrative review of its countervailing duty order on pneumatic off-the-road tires from China.
Commerce published a notice in the Sept. 2, 2014 Federal Register giving interested parties the opportunity to request a review of the countervailing duty order on Chinese OTR tires. On Sept. 30, Guizhou Tire Co. Ltd. and its affiliate, Guizhou Tyre Import and Export Co. Ltd., requested a review.
The two companies withdrew their request Dec. 17, 2014. In a June 9 FR notice, Commerce said the companies had made their withdrawal request within the 90-day limit allowed by law, and therefore the review was rescinded.
There was no word in the notice as to why the Guizhou companies withdrew their request.
