AGUASCALIENTES, Mexico—Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. held an opening ceremony for its recently completed automotive hose assembly plant at the San Francisco Industrial Park in Aguascalientes on May 27.
The plant began operations in January 2015 and is the Mexican production base of Yokohama Rubber's subsidiary Yokohama Industries Inc. Its products include air-conditioner hoses and hoses for transmission oil coolers to service automobile manufacturers in Mexico. The building is about 25,000 square feet.
“Today's plant opening is the culmination of a long process that began when Yokohama Rubber decided to establish a hose assembly plant here in Aguascalientes,” Takao Oishi, senior managing corporate officer, said in a statement. “Economic strength combined with a strong and well-educated work force is why Yokohama Rubber chose to establish itself in this great state.”
