NEWMARKET, Ontario—The defense products business of AirBoss of America Corp. has landed a contract with the U.S. Department of Defense for up to 555,000 pairs of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear protective gloves.
The contract, which consists of a base year and two option years, could be worth up to $11.3 million.
An initial order that maximizes the base year quantity of 270,000 pairs of gloves has been received, the company said, and is worth $5.2 million.
The estimated delivery period for the initial order is from the fourth quarter of 2015 to the second quarter of 2016, the firm said.
