PITTSBURGH—A. Stucki Co. has promoted Jon Kaufman to product manager of its polymer and urethane business unit.
Kaufman joined Stucki in 2007, working in the firm's research and development laboratory focusing primarily on the material science and physical properties of urethane for product applications, the company said.
Stucki said he was involved with the firm's 2012 launch of the Seco urethane line, produced at the firm's subsidiary in North Canton, Ohio.
“Jon was hired as a chemical engineer, but has expanded his knowledge and skills to encompass the mechanical aspects of engineering as well,” CEO Bill Kiefer said in a statement. “He has played a major role in many aspects of the urethane and polymer division, including production, material selection, product design and development, and mold and tooling design.”
A. Stucki Co. manufacturers and supplies railroad components, including constant contact side bearings, resilient friction shoes, hydraulic stabilizers, draft gears and brake beams.
