TRAVERSE CITY, Mich.—Omni United Pte. Ltd. has launched an e-commerce site and installer network for ordering its new Timberland tire brand.
The website, www.timberlandtires.com, offers 20 sizes of the Timberland Cross tires, which are available for purchase via an installer network of more than 1,100 locations and an expanding dealer network, Omni said. An additional 16 sizes of the Timberland Cross will be available in September.
Timberland-brand tires are designed to be recycled into Timberland-brand footwear outsoles at the end of their tread life, according to Singapore-based Omni United, which is cross-marketing the tire brand with footwear maker Timberland L.L.C.
Consumers can visit the Timberland tire website, enter their vehicle information or tire size, and see tire availability, the company said. If tires are not available for the vehicle requested, a notice will appear letting the consumer know if or when the tires will become available in the marketplace.
Omni said it plans to release additional product lines—including the Timberland A/T with 30 sizes available September and the Timberland Tour—in early 2016.
On the website, the consumer will pay for their Timberland tires and shipping costs to the installer. A pre-determined installation charge will be paid at the time of service, according to the tire marketer.
