BERRYVILLE, Va.—Trelleborg Marine Systems has opened its new U.S. headquarters and manufacturing facility in Berryville.
A Trelleborg A.B. business unit, the marine systems operation began building the plant and headquarters in mid-2014 and completed construction earlier this year. The building features 36,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 9,000 square feet for sales and business development.
It has closed its older Clear Brook, Va., factory and relocated all employees to the more modern and better equipped Berryville site, the company said.
Heading up the U.S. marine systems operation is Paul Welling, previously regional director for the Middle East and Africa regions.
Trelleborg has invested heavily in new, advanced polyurethane spraying and foam winding equipment, which will increase production efficiencies at the new plant, the firm said.
