LAKE GENEVA, Wis.—Trostel Ltd. has hired Rafael Tavarez as a business development manager to lead the firm's client service and sales efforts targeting the oil and gas industries.
The firm said Tavarez brings extensive rubber compounding and manufacturing experience in the energy industry, most recently serving as a rubber industry consultant based in Houston and Southeast Asia. He had previously worked with CDI Energy Products, a Houston-based manufacturer of engineered molded and machined rubber and plastics products for the oil and gas industry.
He also has worked in sales for Cri-Tech, a rubber and plastic compounder for the petrochemical industry, holding a variety of positions with the firm.

Trostel manufacturers precision seals, custom molded rubber products and proprietary compound mixes for the appliance, automotive and general industrial markets. Headquartered in Lake Geneva, Trostel has research and development and manufacturing facilities in Whitewater, Wis.; McAllen, Texas; and Reynosa, Mexico.
