CHANGZHOU, China—Lanxess A.G.'s EPDM plant in Changzhou has started production, the firm said, with gradual increases to follow in the future.
Lanxess said during the next months it will be running sampling and approbation processes with customers. The facility will produce 10 premium grades of EPDM tailored to Chinese and Asian customer needs, the firm said.
The plant has a nameplate capacity of 160,000 metric tons per year, Lanxess said.
Lanxess is a global specialty company with sales of about $8.55 billion in 2014 and about 16,000 employees. It has 52 production sites in 29 countries.
