LAKE GENEVA, Wis.—Trostel Ltd. has been certified at the platinum level through Caterpillar's Supplier Quality Excellence Process.
Trostel said this is the first time Trostel achieved Caterpillar's highest SQEP standard. The company previously held a bronze rating since 2012.
“We are honored to have our commitment to quality recognized by Caterpillar's supplier performance program,” said Steve Dyer, president and CEO of Trostel.
“Like all of our customers, Caterpillar expects and demands the best, as it should. Trostel accepts that challenge, and I am proud of how our team delivers upon it time and time again.”
Caterpillar created the Supplier Quality Excellence Process to recognize those suppliers that demonstrate their commitment to excellence, Trostel said, and drive a “zero defects” culture within their organizations. Certification levels include (in order of difficulty to qualify): bronze, silver, gold and platinum.
Suppliers are certified through SQEP by meeting or exceeding stringent supplier performance standards, such as product quality and shipping performance, which are measured over the course of a calendar year.
