BERRYVILLE, Va.—Trelleborg A.B.'s Marine Systems has selected Paul Welling as the new president for the U.S. region.
He previously served as regional director for Middle East and Africa, where Trelleborg said he won the largest contract ever for fender systems. He will help establish the company's new manufacturing business and development facility in Berryville.
Welling has worked for Trelleborg Marine Systems for nearly 10 years.
“Paul has a great deal of experience in project management and business development, as well as extensive knowledge and understanding of the foam and rubber fender markets,” Richard Hepworth, president of Trelleborg Marine Systems, said in a statement. “Given Paul's success in his previous roles, we look forward to him steering our activities in the U.S.”
Trelleborg Marine Systems manufactures and installs bespoke fender systems, docking and mooring equipment, oil and gas transfer technology, and vessel efficiency technology for marine environments all over the world. It is one of five Trelleborg business areas.
