CERRITOS, Calif.—R.D. Abbott Co. Inc. has reached an agreement to distribute Lanxess Corp.'s Advanced Industrial Intermediates business unit's products throughout the continental U.S.
Prior to the revised agreement, RDA represented Lanxess AII product lines in the western U.S. The new agreement expands RDA's responsibility to the rest of the country.
The agreement includes the following accelerators, antioxidants, antidegradants and mastication agents: Vulkacit CZ, DM, DZ, Merkapto, NZ and ZM; Vulkanox 4010, 4020, 4030, HS, HB2 and ZMB2; Vulkazon AFS; and Renacit 11.
“We are excited for the opportunity to promote and sell primary accelerators and antioxidants from Laxness AII nationally,” Jerry McCall, RDA director of product management, said in a statement. “Not only does this new agreement align with RDA's North American regional strategy to meet the growing needs and expectations of our customers, but it also furthers our efforts to become the preferred solutions provider for rubber.”
RDA is a North American supplier and stocking distributor of materials used in rubber compounding and fabrication—including elastomeric polymers, chemicals and ancillary products.
Lanxess Corp. is the North American subsidiary of Lanxess A.G., a global specialty chemicals company with sales of about $9.6 billion in 2014, employing 16,600 in 29 countries with 52 production sites worldwide.
