BANGKOK—Vietnam, the world's third largest natural rubber producer, has agreed to cooperate with Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia under the umbrella International Tripartite Rubber Council.
According to the International Rubber Consortium (IRCo)—ITRC's operational arm—the Vietnamese agriculture minister Cac Duc Phat met with his Thai counterpart Petipong Pungbun Na Ayudhya where he agreed to cooperate on sustainable development of NR for the benefits of the smallholders/farmers.
Vietnam will also have representation at the ITRC meeting on April 1 in Thailand, when the council is to discuss the establishment of a regional rubber market.
