WASHINGTON—The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries has won three “Telly” awards for two of its educational videos: The Shredder Story: A Revolution in Recycling and The Impact of the Recycling Industry.
The Shredder Story won a Bronze Telly Award in the Public Relations category, ISRI said. The 13½-minute video shows how industrial shredders work and how they have revolutionized the recycling industry.
“Changing the face of the industrial economy, the shredder is an innovation not unlike the printing press, the internal combustion engine or the personal computer,” ISRI said.
The Impact of the Recycling Industry won Bronze Telly Awards in the ducation and Green/Eco/Friendly categories, ISRI said. It depicts the overall impact of the recycling industry, including information from the ISRI Scrap Yearbook, ISRI's jobs and economic impact study and other ISRI resources.
Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards honor outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs. This year's winners were selected from nearly 12,000 entries from all 50 states and many foreign countries, ISRI said.
