TAMPA, Fla.—HB Chemical Corp. has signed an agreement with Hiller Carbon L.L.C. to distribute Hiller Carbon's Crown Black 325, a ground bituminous coal filler with low specific gravity that performs as an pigment-filler and extender in rubber and plastics compounds.
HB Chemical will market Hiller's portfolio of carbon products to its existing customer base, allowing the material to become available for smaller volume users.
“The Crown Black 325 product is providing customers a quality alternative in an area previously dominated by one supplier,” Jordan Hiller, Hiller Carbon's business development manager, said in a news release. “Our new partnership with HB Chemical will further make the material available to a wider segment of the industry including customers with smaller requirements. By partnering with HB Chemical, it allows us to leverage their longstanding relationships and infrastructure within the rubber and plastics industries.”
With 15 stocking locations across the U.S., HB Chemical will offer Hiller Carbon throughout the U.S.
