HOUSTON—The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers has selected Hyakuro Yamane as its regulatory affairs director.
Yamane had a 40-year career at Tosoh Corp. until his recent retirement. Based in Tokyo, he will be responsible for the collection, evaluation and dissemination of global regulatory initiatives impacting the synthetic rubber industry, IISRP said.
“We are excited to have (Yamane) on out team to manage our regulatory program,” James L. McGraw, IISRP managing director and CEO, said in a statement.
McGraw said Yamane helped the IISRP organize and manage its Chloroprene Consortium and REACH registration.
Headquartered in Houston, the IISRP is an international trade association with more than 60 corporate members in 22 countries. The association said its membership combines to produce 80 percent of the world's supply of synthetic rubber.
