WASHINGTON—Tom Rosenmayer, vice president of Lehigh Technologies Inc., will speak at a Jan. 11 workshop at the annual Transportation Research Board meeting in Washington.
Rosenmayer will speak at a workshop titled, “Innovative Materials for Asphalt Materials.” He will discuss Lehigh's recent advances in sustainable micronized rubber powder technology for use in rubber-modified asphalt.
The focus of the workshop is on how recent changes in performance-graded binder applications are changing the asphalt binder additive marketplace, according to Lehigh. Rosenmayer will discuss how recent advances in MRP technology are allowing key improvements in elastic properties and storage capacity for asphalt, the company said.
“Corridors to the Future: Transportation and Technology” is the theme of this year's TRB meeting, which will feature more than 5,000 presentations for an audience of more than 12,000 transportation professionals from around the world.
The TRB annual meetings are designed to address topics of interest to policy makers, administrators, researchers, government officials and industry representatives across all transportation modes.
