TOKYO—The Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. has changed the roles of a number of executives, promoting Hideto Katsuragawa to president of its tire business unit.
Katsuragawa will retain his previous duties as a director and managing corporate officer. He takes over the tire business from YRC President Hikomitsu Noji, who has been president of YRC since April 2011 and president of the tire business since June 2010.
The change is effective Jan. 1.
The firm also gave Fumio Morita, a director and managing corporate officer, the responsibilities of overseeing the sports business planning department and the presidency of PRGR Co. Ltd. in addition to his duties as head of corporate social responsibility division and overseeing Yokohama Motorsports International Co. Ltd.
Finally, Yokohama named Yuji Goto, a director and senior managing corporate officer, president of Kameyama Bead Co. Ltd., a tire bead production subsidiary. He continues as chief tire production office, head of tire production division and head of the Hiratsuka tire factory.
