HOUSTON—The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers has elected Comar Chemicals Pty. as an affiliate member, the association's first South African affiliate.
Comer Chemicals supplies neodymium-based catalysts to the synthetic rubber industry. It is headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa, with additional manufacturing in Basel, Switzerland.
The firm has named Diego German Roland as its liaison representative to the IISRP, with Udo-Eric Eichrodt as his alternate.
The IISRP has more than 60 corporate members from 22 countries that produce 80 percent of the world's synthetic rubber. Its annual meeting will be held this year in Cape Town, from April 20-23.
